Tom Randle started following the question "Is spell check in the works?" in Balsamiq.
A comment on the problem "Save all not working" in Balsamiq:
That's ok. Glad to help.
I think my experience was made slightly worse by the behaviour of 'Save All'. I thought my work was saved.. but in reality 'Save All' doesn't save all. it just saves stuff that's previously been saved and given a file name...
Thanks again, – Tom Randle, on March 16, 2010 15:30
A comment on the problem "Save all not working" in Balsamiq:
Aha!
I'm clicking b. the upper right corner.
I just tried c. and that behaved properly (I didn't get the bug!) – Tom Randle, on March 16, 2010 15:24
Tom Randle replied on March 16, 2010 15:05 to the problem "Save all not working" in Balsamiq:
They all say 'new mockup' because they've not been saved.
1) Create a new mockup add some stuff
2) Create another new mockup add some stuff
3) Click close
4) Get told to save
5) Save the first mockup
6) Balsamiq automatically closes losing the second mockup.
So basically if you've got more than one new unsaved mockup open and you hit close, you're completely screwed!
Thanks for looking into it!

Tom Randle reported a problem in Balsamiq on March 11, 2010 17:00:
Save all not workingSave All - not working properly just lost 6 tabs worth of work :-(
I created a whole load of new mockups and kept pressing save all (i've been working on them the past 2 hours). I didn't save them individually.
I then hit close and got he message telling me to save them individually.
I closed the dialog. Saved one of the documents and then Balsamiq automatically closed - losing all the other tabs.
I can reproduce it.
Why does balsamiq auto close after i've save just one of the files.
Save all's behaviour has to change.
Surely the sensible thing to .. .. if any of the documents hasn't already been saved before is to ask for the location and save with default file names e.g mockup1 mockup2

A comment on the idea "Text formatting helper" in Balsamiq:
I like this approach. Perhaps the icon could also be included in the legend?
I also quite like the idea of clicking on one of the entries also inserting the text - although most the time I think I'd still type. – Tom Randle, on March 09, 2010 08:54
Tom Randle shared an idea in Balsamiq on March 08, 2010 13:42:
Help remembering syntax when using special components from the UI libraryLots of Balsamiq's components have nifty syntax
e.g. f draws closed folders in the tree component and F for open folders etc.
These show up as examples when you add the component
My problem is that as soon as you start typing they disappear and I frequently forget what to use...
My workaround is normally to add a second copy of the components so I can read off the examples.. but it's not ideal.
Is there another way we could be reminded?
Maybe a tooltip?
