I am a newbie. The problem is not in with the android app. The problem is that I assumed that adding a venue would automacally check me in that venue.

Not the case, you have to:
1.- Add the venue
2.- Chekin

Do you think this solves the problem? Mark it as solved

venues only get added to my web and phone, if that venue is allready listed on Foursquare. And, when I add a venue that is not previously listed they wont show up anywhere. – matiasjajaja, on January 23, 2010 23:26
