Will there be a plain old viewer I can embed onto a web page?
I was wondering if a web-embeddable mockup *viewer* was in the plans. We're not using one of the supported wikis (we're using Mindtouch Deki, which we like a lot), but would at least like the ability to embed viewable versions of mockups into the wiki. Presumably, our users would primarily use the desktop version for editing.
You could accomplish this now by just generating an image from the mockup and uploading that along with the XML file, but then it becomes a somewhat inconvenient multi-step process to upload a change to the wiki. This will become much more valuable if/when Mockups supports navigation across multiple pages (then it'd be multiple images to upload, etc.)
I imagine that given a documented API, I could build a Deki extension to embed the viewer pretty easily.

Inappropriate?Hi there. Thanks for the feedback. I will look at Mindtouch Deki wiki to see if I can port Mockups to it in the near future. As of rigth now, APIs and a standalone viewer are not in the plans (I know, not very web2.0 of me, but I just don't have the resources to do everything as a one-person company). One thing at the time. :)

Inappropriate?Hello neil, we just added the ability to export all the open mockups to a single PDF (with links between pages even!). Try it out here: http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock... and tell me what you think, we'll merge the feature into the next official release in a week or two.

Inappropriate?Just another with the request for a plain old SWF viewer application to embed in a webpage, taking the "Export to PNG" out of our process.
