UPDATE: Marco is currently developing the app. As of May 2012, we've started demoing the work in progress at conferences and events.

It's still in the hands of the closed beta group. Recently Marco's been focussing on the the experience related to speed of of interaction, so it's definitely getting better with each bit of feedback we're getting.

I am looking around now for software that does this - we are an existing Balsamiq customer and having just got an ipad specifically for getting out to clients with ease I wanted to use Balsamiq - any idea of dates? -

Being able to create and amend wireframes on the go on my iPad is a must. Since this subject has been on the go for two years it would be great to know how imminent an iPad app is.

frustrated by the seeming lack of urgency
Since this has been a topic for so very long, and it is not exactly a technical marvel to implement, one would have to surmise a business decision has been reached to make this a very low priority. Too bad, I would love to have this app on my iPad.

1I love Balsamiq, but fear that other apps are coming close on the ipad. I won't mention them, but there are a number that allow doing simple mockups and collaboration.
All of the great knowledge poured into balsamiq over the years would make for an amazing app. Many people bring iPads to meetings where it'd be great to go through and make minor tweaks (not just with a PDF). I'd probably still do the bulk of work on my desktop, but don't always have it with me, especially with clients/coworkers. -
