User defined colours for canvas/rectangle
The colour picker for the rectangle/canvas is a bit limited in its selection. Would it be possible to pursuade you to implement a custom colour, i.e. RGB values or something similar?

Inappropriate?Hi Thomas, it's possible to persuade me, but I need to know more info. What are you trying to achieve? Why do you feel that you need more control over colors?
-
Inappropriate?Wonderful. The problem is really quite simple, in that the colours that exist in the palette already are somewhat harsh. I would like some colours that fit better with the overall look and feel of the mockups and even more importantly, fit each other :-). Since there are as many opinions as there are users, I think adding one custom colour rather than changing the palette itself would be the easiest solution pleasing most users. I would certainly be happy.

Hi Thomas. The colors that are there are the default OS X palette, plus one row at the bottom of iPhone-related ones. That said, I'm still not entirely convinced by your argument. Mockups is not for pixel-perfect designs, and colors shouldn't really matter that much in the early stage of a project, don't you think? -
Inappropriate? You are quite right that colours shouldn't matter, however they do. At least in so far as they interfere with the message. If nothing else, the palette colours are rather bold to say the least.

I very much agree with that. Do you think you could provide me with, say, 2 more rows of colors that we could add to the existing ones, and perhaps re-arrange the existing ones in a more coherent way? -
Inappropriate?Okay, I have tried setting a few colours. The last row is really just a 10% desaturation (HSB) of the row above which is the one I am after. I can rearrange the rest if you like, but not until tomorrow.

The CMYK values are from left to right:
0,90,100,0
50,0,100,0
70,55,0,0
100,0,0,0
45,0,0,0
0,100,0,0
10,15,100,0
30,0,100,0

Thanks Thomas, I like the new colors! If you could re-arrange the palette so that they all make sense together that'd be great, no rush. I would like to keep the grays together somehow and keep the last row as the iPhone-specific colors...so maybe just incorporate the 2 new rows in the top-left area? Looking forward to seeing your colorful output! thanks so much! -
Inappropriate? It would be great to have this implemented, the existing colours are a bit grim.
