Inappropriate?Hi Bi-Roller, I'm not sure about using typing as the trigger since it will take away all characters that could be used as shortcuts in the future. For now you can hit ENTER or F2 to start typing (I use ENTER, it's pretty fast and it's consistent with ENTER or CTRL+ENTER to stop editing as well).

Inappropriate? If your online help is up-to-date, only the '/' or '+' would be effected since SHIFT+A and CTRL+A do the exact same thing (SHIFT+A is an uncommon keyboard shortcut in my opinion).
This would work if didn't type '/' or '+' as the very first character and Quick Add would still work and so would the Lorem-ipsum generator.
Actually SHIFT+A doesn't appear to be working in 1.6.25.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Typing right into a control IS a shortcut. And it's something I do with EVERY control. The question here is which is more commonly used or expected? I expect to type into a control label if I have it selected (not double-clicked) since that is a behavior common to just about every other text interaction interface I've used. The Double-click or hit Enter to type is the exception, not the norm. It seems like this is optimized for the wrong problem.
I’m Frustrated

Hi Larry, we use / and + for going to Quick Add already, and we're going to use ? to show an in-context help soon. Surely hitting ENTER after clicking on a control is not too much to ask?
