Space-naming Problem with Confluence Plug-In
There appears to be a bug when dealing with a mockup whose name has more than one word on it. I sent this to the support email address and then immediately remembered that with the 3-user license, support is forum-only -- so I'll post it here.
Here are the steps to recreate it in Confluence 3.0.2. Perhaps someone else can confirm the bug or report that it works on a different version of Confluence or something.
1) From a wiki page, create a new mockup
2) Add something to the mockup and "Save and Close" it.
3) Give it a name with a space in it (for example, I used the string "two words").
4) After it is saved, click the "edit this mockup" link
5) Make a change to the mockup
6) "Save and Close" again
Notice that a new mockup has been created, instead of a new version of the original. The name of the original mockup is "two words" and the name of the new mockup is "two+words". Since the name is different the second time, it is seen as a different mockup and so now there are two in the page.
I love the product.
Thanks,
John

Inappropriate?I got the following email from Peldi:
"whoa John, that's not good. I'll take a look, thanks for the detailed steps!"
So obviously he's on the case :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate? We're also running into this on Confluence 3.0.2 and it created a bit of a mess for us. Any version of Mockups for Confluence after 1.6.44 is essentially unusable due to this bug.

Inappropriate?Hi guys, I'm looking at this now.

(Sorry for not getting back to you sooner...I was out of the office for the holidays)

Inappropriate?Hi Paul and readparse, the fix is now live in the main branch: http://www.balsamiq.com/blog/2010/01/...

Inappropriate? Thanks Peldi. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I just rescued this email from an overzealous spam quarantine :) I'll get my Confluence admin to install the update and let you know if I have any trouble.
I’m splendid
