selection of objects on top of other objects

Something a bit frustrating when I want to select a few text boxes for example that is layout on a form, I have to either hold Ctrl and click everyone or need to start dragging outside the window. It would be nice if you could start you dragging operation on the window and not let the window be selected and moved to select a bunch of controls on top of a window or any other object.
