Radio button state too sticky after copying button.
Peldi -- Thanks for the quick (!) answer on the data grid. And I'll hope for the enhancement to control alignment of columns within the grid in the future.
I found a bug today working on a mockup. I added a radio button with no text label. Put a text field under it. Marked the radio button "selected". Then copied that selected button and the text field to make another nearby. Choosing the "normal" state for the new button wouldn't work without choosing some other state first (eg, disabled). Just a "little" bug.
And while I'm at it, how about a related enhancement request. What I really wanted to do was to have the radio button centered OVER the text instead of to the left of the text. There's no way to do that with the current radio button, I believe.
Both of these are in the nice to have, not got to have category, for sure.

Inappropriate?Hi Paul, sorry but I can't reproduce what you describe about the radio button. I set it as selected, copy it together with a text field, paste them. The new radio button can be set to normal state as usual.
Please let me know if I have to do something different.
Which version of Mockups are you using?
About the position of the radio button, I never heard of a button over the text... it is a bit rare, right? :-)
Ciao

Wow, if it's really new, I should hurry to the patent office, right? Just kidding.
I don't think I'm the originator of the vertical radio button layout. But you're certainly right that it isn't typical.
As far as the stickiness goes, I think I understand the (baby) bug better. Make a radio button with no text label. Put "some text" under. Group them and copy the group. The context sensitive layer that appears offers to let you set state for the new radio button. You choose a new state (going from selected to normal) and nothing changes in the mockup. Ungroup and then you can do it.
This bug is a little, bitty bug.

Hi Paul, thanks for the steps but I can't make it happen. Once you group controls the property inspector no longer shows the state pull-down, how are you selecting the new state after grouping? -
Inappropriate?I'd be happy to mail you a deck with a sequence of screen shots and annotations.

that'd be great Paul, or a screencast! Have you tried http://www.screenr.com? it's cross-platform and easy (just uncheck the "tweet this now" checkbox at the end) -
Inappropriate?Hi Paul, Thanks a ton for sending us the deck, I will share with the team.
I’m happy to pitch in

Inappropriate?Got it! I can make it happen now. The issue was that we were grouping with CTRL+G, while you were just multi-selecting with drag+drop. I know how to fix the bug now that I can make it happen! :) We'll get to it soon.
