print options
when i have to print multiple mockups, i have to set the print options (printer, paper, orientattions...) for each mockup: really time consuming.
Could it be possible to save the print options provided with the first print and reuse them for the next print actions?

Inappropriate?I always end up exporting my mockups to png before printing them. Balsamiq needs better print options!

Inappropriate? Also it would be nice if Balsamiq could work out a best orientation to print with. So windows that are wider than they are tall would default to a landscape print.

Inappropriate?Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. You're right, our native printing feature is not very good right now. Luckily there are lots of good tools that print a set of PNGs (like Preview on the Mac for instance), so eva's workaround is what I would suggest until we fix our side. It might take a little while because new printing APIs are only available in Flash Player 10, which we plan to start requiring in Jan 2010.

I agree with Eva and chose the same workaround. I am paper prototyping after printing, so my issue is to get printouts of separate mockups to the same scale. I could make one huge mockup for all the screen designs (which I haven't tried yet, but then I couldn't use linking to different screens).
The Preview app on OS X is a good suggestion and I can use that at home, but not here at work, where I'm putting exported png into Photoshop layers, scaling the layers to match and then printing. A bit too laborious. I may give up on this approach. Any other suggestions? -
Inappropriate?I was having problems scaling different mockup files to print the same size, but I've started making a standard sized dialogue for all my mockups in a particular project so that they all print in proportion.
For instance I'll create a 1024 x 768 dialogue for all mockups in a project. Then even if one of the mockups is a 400 x 400 dialogue, I'll put it inside this larger dialogue, so all the mockups in a project print in proportion.
That may seem an obvious answer to everyone here, but somehow it took me a while to work that out.
I’m relieved
