PDF Export Improvements
I'd love the PDF exporting function to be fleshed out a bit more. It's an incredible feature that has plenty of room to grow. Here are my suggestions:
Add an "Export to PDF" option that will export only the current mockup.
(Currently if I want to export one mockup but I have several mockups open I have to close the other mockups before I export)
When selecting "Export All to PDF...", provide a dialog box for selecting which open mockups to export and in which order to arrange them.
When selecting "Export All to PDF..." don't export the default "New Mockup" or any other empty mockups.
(The "New Mockup" tab must be closed before using "Export All to PDF..." or you get a blank page in your PDF titled "New Mockup")
Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!

Inappropriate?I agree - this is a great new feature, I often need to share mocks with people who are remote, so being able to print all pages at once is great. But at the moment you have to open them in the right order first!
I’m happy

Inappropriate? Thanks whatispunk, these are good points, we'll get to it all, stick with us! :)

Inappropriate?First, let me say, export to PDF is fantastic, as is Balsamiq. Some other suggestions for improvement (I run desktop 1.6.46):
1. I use SVN for my BMML files. I have some complex mock-ups with tab containers linked to other mockups. For some reason ‘export to PDF’ modifies the files slightly (it moves the href and text elements around), making me have to revert, or check in these changes.
2. Export to PDF reverts to ‘My Docs’ instead of remembering my last save location.
3. If you have a PDF unknowingly open in Adobe Reader, and you try to overwrite it from Balsamiq’s export to PDF, it appears to be successful, but does not actually overwrite the PDF. -
Thanks Xalprider!
1. I plan on making it so that the bmml properties will be sorted alphabetically within a control, so it should fix that
2. that sounds like a bug, we'll take a look.
3. weird. I'll see if we get an error in that case. -
In regards to the third point, I have also noticed this.
My guess is that when the file is open Balsamiq can't get a lock on it and just silently fails. Just make sure you have the pdf closed when exporting a new version. -
Inappropriate? It would also be really nice to select the page order for the PDF before it is exported.

We're working on this. Soon you'll be able to rearrange the tabs at the bottom (with drag+drop). Once that's done, the PDF will follow the same order. -
Giacomo - I'm not sure this would necessarily hit the mark. It would be preferable to be able to select the pages you wanted in the PDF instead of always exporting all of them. In the same dialog for selecting the pages to export you should also be able to reorder them. -
Inappropriate?A quick update: I just fixed a bug with bmml files that had dots in their names. Links work now there as well: http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock...
