Hi again, (I start to fell like a permanent reporter)
With Balsamiq Mockup for Desktop I found a bug.
Balsamiq Version 2.1.1
Operating system Mac OS X 10.5.8
I wanted to open a set of files in the Finder. So I selected the intended files and made a double click to open them with Balsamiq.
All files got opened. But between esch file ther was a new empty Mockup which I do not realy want to have there nor expected to be there.
Greetings Florian

Hi Florian, thank you for reporting it.
It should be fixed in the Prerelease version, available here: http://balsamiq.com/products/mockups/...
Could you please check if it works for you? Thanks!

"Mockups for Desktop: we no longer show lots of "New Mockups" tabs if you open Mockups after moving the files that were open last time you closed the app."
The above seams not to be fixed. When I drag a bunch of files from Windows Explorer to Balsamiq, I still see a lot of "New Mockups" tabs.

Just upgraded to version 2.1.1. Really love all the new stuff but I am getting a really annoying problem. On Mac OS X Leopard, using the Desktop version of Balsamiq, if I open a .bmml file from Finder, it always adds a New Mockup as well. Each time I open a new file, I get another New Mock up tab as well. So after opening several files, I am left with a whole tab full of new mock ups mixed in with the ones I opened. This issue only occurs in 2.1.1. I did not have this issue before this time.

Go to Finder, select multiple files, double click:
Multiple "New Mockups" will be opened.
This was not the case with previous version.

I noticed the following:
I have a set of mockups I wanted to open simultaneously. In Finder, I selected all the files, right-clicked and chose 'Open'. The files were opened in one instance of Balsamiq Mockups but I noticed that for every existing file opened an empty mockup was generated also, which had to be closed manually. The footertabs looked like:
existing_mockup | New Mockup | existing_mockup | New Mockup | existing_mockup | New Mockup | existing_mockup | New Mockup |
I think this is a bug.
btw I like the new graphic style, good job.

Same problem here and it's extremely annoying...
Version:
Version: 2.1.1 - 08/01/2011 14:23 (Air)
Adobe AIR Player Version: MAC 10,3,183,5
OSX 10.6.8 / 10.7.1-
As Marco said above, this has been fixed in the pre-release, and we're hoping to release in the next stable version. This only happens when opening files from the Mac Finder or a Windows Desktop. It does not happen when using the open dialog in-app.
If you want to try the pre-release, you can install it here:
http://balsamiq.com/products/mockups/...
After you've played with it, if you want to roll back to the stable release, simply go to the download page and re-install using the Update button here:

When I open Mockups files from Finder I get additional empty tabs with "New Mockup". To reproduce:
1. Open Balsamiq
2. Close any open files
3. The window is empty, with "New Mockup" as the only tab.
4. Switch to Finder and doubleclick a saved .bmml
Result: I get the tabs "New Mockup" (the original), the bmml, and "New Mockup" (additional).
Expected: no additional New Mockup tabs, and "New Mockup" (original) to be replaced with the new file if there are no unsaved changes.
(It works as expected if I open files with File menu->Open.)
This also happens if I open multiple bmml:s from the Finder, in which case I get one additional "New Mockup" per file opened.
I'm using OS X 10.6.8 on Intel, Balsamiq 2.1.1, Adobe AIR Player Version: MAC 10,3,183,5

When i open multiple bmml files at once Balsamiq creates a "New Mockup" tab next to every opened mockup.

I've hit a small bug if anyone else can replicate it. I've got my designs checked into SVN. When I click and drag multiple Balsamiq files from there into Balsamiq it's also opening New Mockup tabs. There seems to be an N - 1 relationship.
So, if I drag 10 files into Balsamiq to open I also get 9 'New Mockup' tabs opening at the same time which means I then have to go and close them all. Anyone else hitting this?
