My first 5 minutes with myBalsamiq:
LOVE the way you describe private vs. public access. Makes so much sense. No real comments on anything else... it all works as I'd expect it to coming from the desktop edition. That's great!
Only problem I've encountered so far is that I uploaded a desktop bmml file and the symbols didn't get imported - it says "Symbol not found". I don't see a way to do that separately either, so I'll just have to recreate them.

OK, I figured out how to upload Symbols as project assets. However, the thumbnail screenshots of the mockups didn't change to include the symbols, so I deleted and reuploaded them to reflect the fact that the symbol was now there as an asset.
One issue that I found with further work (all in myBalsamiq):
The main symbol I'm using is a site header. It contains the main nav bar which I've linked to my other pages. Here's how to recreate:
1. Upload a site header symbol file with a nav bar that doesn't link to anything yet.
2. Upload 2 mockups that use that symbol ("home" and "about").
3. Open "home" in edit mode.
4. Click the nav bar symbol and click edit source.
5. Add links to the nav items to link to "home" and "about".
6. Save the symbol.
7. Save the "home" file.
8. Close the editor.
9. Go back to your project and launch the prototype.
Expected results:
The links in the nav bar are clickable in all pages that use the symbol and I can navigate through all of my pages.
Actual results:
The link works great on the home page but they don't work on the about page. I have to open "about", arbitrarily do something, and then save it. -

Glad you're liking it so far, Tom.
Symbols are only partially supported at the moment. To get your project mockups and symbols into myBalsamiq, we recommend uploading a project zip. See docs here:
http://support.balsamiq.com/customer/... or here
Uploading a project .zip will copy over your Mockups and any assets used in your project assets folder.
There's a good doc about working between Mockups & myBalsamiq here: http://support.balsamiq.com/customer/...
The plan is to eventually support full sync between desktop and the web app. -

Awesome, I will use the .zip for now. All new projects will start in the web version so no worries!
A couple of bugs I've noticed:
1. Cut, Copy and Paste with CMD+C, etc. on my macbook isn't working. However, CMD+D to duplicate DOES work.
2. When I'm editing a label/string of text and I press TAB, it adds a tab in the element but it also defocuses it. If I click back into it, the tab spacing is there. I don't often do this but it's something I noticed and I thought I'd pass along the info.
Thanks! -

Keyboard shortcuts in myBalsamiq are only partially supported at present. We're sorry it's not fully functional yet, but we have it on our to do list to get them working. It's a little trickier getting them to work consistently across browsers compared to implementing them in the Desktop version.
Thanks for your patience about this. We're working with our JS developer to focus on keyboard shortcut support in the coming weeks. We'll get there.
Thanks for the report about label/string losing focus after hitting tab. I'll report it! -
