Inappropriate?GJP, I have to admit I don't know! (I use Adobe AIR as the underlying cross-platform technology to power Mockups).
What OS are you using? It might be OS-dependent.
I'll look around.
I’m curious!

Inappropriate?hi, Thanks for answering. I am currently using windows xp, but am interested in anything that runs on Linux also.
I'm just trying to collect a bunch of apps that will run from a portable drive both at home and at work. This will also help me insulate my productivity from changes of machine.
Regars

Inappropriate?Ok Graham, I tested it and this is what I found out: if the computer you're trying to run Mockups on (from the thumb drive) has AIR installed, it all works fine. If not, you get a prompt saying "you need to install AIR", with the URL. So...I guess my app is portable, the framework isn't. Just like windows apps that rely on the .NET framework I guess...
I’m hoping this helps!

Inappropriate?what about license key? Is that stored in the registry?
-
Inappropriate? Not the registry, but close: it's in a database file in the Local Store folder. So you have to register once for each computer you use, but then you can run the executable from the thumb key.
-
One thing to consider would be having and option to store the information your putting in the Local Store folder into a folder below where the app is runnig from. This would make it truely portable when running from a USB drive. If implemented, it could look for the files off of the current path first, and then if not found there, store in the Local Store folder. -
That's a good idea jkeener1, I'll add it to the list! -
Inappropriate?Does the license allow multiple computer registration?
-
Inappropriate?Yes, licenses are tied to individuals, not a particular machine. In other words, you can install the license on any computer you own and use.
