I had some trouble installing Adobe Air on Ubuntu 12.04. Got this error:
"Adobe AIR could not be installed. Install either Gnome Keyring or KDE KWallet before installing Adobe AIR."
I found a good solution here:

This was, of course, in addition to using the excellent guide posted in the forum for 11.10:

Great to hear. We will soon update our Linux FAQ page to add current tutorials.

Speaking of which -- is Air required for Confluence Balsamiq plugin? I have just migrated to a fresh 12.04 machine, and editing mockups in Confluence no longer works.

Hi vladimir, no it's not required, just the flash player. Please send details about the issue you're seeing in Mockups for Confluence to support@balsamiq.com

Giacomo,
thanks for quick response. It seems like the issue is now gone. Previously, the mockup would not load in 5 minutes (there was progress dialog that was not moving). It is now loading instantly, so maybe it was just load spike on our server. -
