Desktop Mockups on a headless server?

Has anyone attempted to run Balsamiq Mockups in a headless environment? I plan to install the desktop version on a LInux server and use it strictly for exporting PNG files from the BMML source. I notice that every time it is run from the command line, it flashes the AIR UI for a split second.

Does this mean I need to create a virtual display in X windows?

After some testing, I've found that you do indeed need an X-server running for Mockups to run on a Linux or Mac server. I'd obviously prefer not to do this, but there may be no choice.

Currently, if I want to run in a headless session, I have to use Xvfb to create a display and then run Mockups in that display's environment.

It would be much easier if Mockups could be forced to run without the GUI, but I suspect that it may not be possible ... after all, who would try to run flash without a GUI (there's not much point to that).

It may be a moot issue, since the first time Mockups is run by a user, the AIR executable actually asks the user to accept the AIR license terms ... there doesn't appear to be a non-GUI installation for AIR either.

Unless you have other ideas, I suppose I'll just have to write up the (fairly complex) server installation instructions and include make them available to the Maven plugin users.
