Comboboxes with multiline and image support.
It would be really useful if the comboboxes allowed multiple lines to be added to each item in the list. It would be extra awesome if you could add an image to each combobox item. Perhaps allowing the image to be right or left aligned.
This would easily allow users to easily depict more advanced selection lists. An example is shown below.

The company has not planned to implement this.

Inappropriate? Thanks rewt. I'll think about it, but I fear that the implementation will be harder to use than the workaround you cooked up to create the mockup above. May I suggest you share the bmml source for it on www.mockupstogo.net? That way everyone wins!

Unfortunately, the workaround I used was to take a screen capture of a panel with many of the elements you see already laid out, including a down arrow for the drop down icon. I then duplicated one of the panel sides to create the down arrow button effect. I am now including this control in my apps as an image, which is not very editable. If there were a way to create custom control templates that would update as the template was changed, then I could create "reusable" controls. -
Hey Ryan. Reusable elements is our #1 most requested feature http://www.getsatisfaction.com/balsam..., and we have fun plans for it. It's tricky so it will take a little while. -
Hi Giacomo. Reusable elements would be an excellent addition. I look forward to it. BTW, the link in your comment appears broken.
