Clickable region/slice

I would like the ability to draw an invisible region over an element in order to make it clickable (i.e. link to another page).

I've created a PNG for my side menu which I share across 10 or more templates and I'd like to make parts of it clickable. With an invisible region/slice I'd be able to simply draw a rectangle over the clickable element and add the necessary link properties.
