Assets Folder Empty
Disclaimer: I'm new to Mockups.
I'm using Mockups for Desktop. When I add an image and check the "Copy to Project Assets" check box, I am expecting to see a copy of the image created in "Documents\Balsamiq Mockups\assets", but nothing is, and the BMML references the original image path.
What am I missing? Is this an issue or am I expecting something that isn't supposed to happen? Also, I'm reading through the site, but haven't seen anything describing the prescribed way of organizing my projects (multiple mockups, related assets, etc.) using Mockups for Desktop. Is there such an instruction?
Sorry for the "beginner" questions. I'm just starting to test the waters with this tool and am anxious to really dig into it.

Inappropriate? Thanks, that tip can be helpful for sure, but still doesn't fix the problem I think I'm seeing.

This checkbox doesn't seem to do anything. The BMML is the same whether it is checked or not, and I cannot find any place where the image was copied, either the "global" assests folder or a local assets folder "next to" my current BMML file.
I’m still learning (and still hopeful)

Inappropriate?Yes. The populating of the list seems to work correctly, but the physical copy of the file to the assets folder does not do what I am expecting.

Inappropriate?Hi guys. Sorry about the lack of documentation on this one, we have to update our website about it soon. :( This is our announcement about it though: http://www.balsamiq.com/blog/2009/10/...
Ok, so there are two types of assets folders, one is the "account assets folder" (i.e. the global one, in your documents and settings folder), and one which we call the "project folder". This is a folder called "assets" that sits next to where you save your BMML file.
So say you saved your bmml in c:\foo, then the image would end up in c:\foo\assets
Let me know if this is not what you're seeing!

Inappropriate?I have a saved BMML file with an assets folder in the same folder as the BMML (which I will call the "local" assets folder for now). When I have an image on the mockup and select Import Image, I get the dialog shown above. I select a file from elsewhere on my drive, check the "Copy to Project Assets" and click Import.
That image, which I expect would be copied either to the local assets folder or to the account assets folder, still only exists at its original location elsewhere on my hard drive.
It does not get copied anywhere.
If I manually add an image to the local assets folder, it shows up in the list of images in the properties as expected. But no matter what I do, Mockups does not copy images to the assets folder for me.
From your link:
"If instead you check the checkbox, a copy of the image will be saved in the current Project Assets folder"
That doesn't happen for me. All of the other image-related stuff in that post does work for me except copying the file as expected.
For what it's worth, I am on Vista Enterprise 64bit.
Thanks.
I’m confused

thank you Scott. That's definitely a bug then. We'll take a look first thing tomorrow. Sorry for all the time this has wasted you already, our apologies. -
Thank you for looking into it. I appreciate it. It's not the end of the world, but knowing that feature *should* be there makes me really want it.

Inappropriate?Hi Scott, I think I fixed the bug.
You can download the Next version from this address http://www.balsamiq.com/products/mock...
Can you help us testing it? Please report here any problem.
Thank you!
Ciao

Inappropriate?Thank you. A quick test shows this now works as expected (copies the image into the assets folder).
