Add OSX Quicklook support for bmml files
I'm not sure how this is built but it would be very useful when navigating through multiple files.
It takes time to close/open successive files that quicklook would completely eliminate, saving me lots of time when using lots of mockups

Inappropriate?I'm sure it's not terribly easy, given that Mockups is AIR based, but I have to ask... I use QuickLook (and Default Folder X) a LOT to determine files at a glance. Any way that we can get more robust integration for these so that I can see which BMML file is which without having to open them (I'm lazy that way)?
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Awesome. :) I installed it but it didn't work. I ran the install script, do I need to do anything else? I'm on 10.6

Inappropriate?Hi Anthony, running the install script should be enough. Few questions which will help us in tracking what happens:
- is Balsamiq Mockups located in the /Applications folder?
- if you open the Quick Look window for a bmml file, which file type is reported? (it can be com.balsamiq.MockupsFile or com.balsamiq.mockupsfile all lowercase)
- do you see the plugins in /Users/youruser/Library/Spotlight and /Users/youruser/Library/QuickLook ?
- if you copy and paste this command in the Terminal:
qlmanage -m plugins | grep balsamiq
and hit Return, the output should be like this:
com.balsamiq.mockupfile -> /Users/marco/Library/QuickLook/MockupsQuickLook.qlgenerator (1.0)
Is it?
Thank you and let me know!

Inappropriate?hi, the QL plugin also doesn't work for me :( i'm on 10.5.8), ql window says "com.balsamiq.mockupfile" (ie no s), also running qlmanage -t says something like bundle not found and that it can't generate image
any ideas? i can provide more debugging info if needed -
Inappropriate?Hi Petr, it looks like the plugins are not in the proper places.
Please copy manually the plugins in these folders:
/Users/youruser/Library/QuickLook/MockupsQuickLook.qlgenerator
/Users/youruser/Library/Spotlight/MockupsSpotlight.mdimporter
Then in the Terminal run these two commands:
qlmanage -r
/usr/bin/mdimport -r ~/Library/Spotlight/MockupsSpotlight.mdimporter
... and reboot, just to be sure that it takes the changes. ;-)
Let me know if it works!
Question: is your Mac Intel or PowerPC?
Ciao
