New Clone of current Mockup - suggestion
If I make a new clone of the current mockup, it should "remember" the default folder settings etc. so that I can use the project assets without an immediate browse to directory and save-as operation.
"New Clone of current Mockup" should remember project settings.

I frequently have issues where the directory it chooses is not the correct one.

Sure, it's simple to recreate.
1) Open Balsamiq Desktop. 2.0.14 in my case.
2) Browse to some directory and open up all the .bmml files.
3) Right click on some random tab of a mockup.
4) Select clone as new mockup
5) Now try to do a "Save as" from the file menu and viola, it's some directory but not where you loaded the files from.
Would be nice to assume that where you want to save is either where you last saved (if have not saved since loading all then default to last opened location) or last opened. -

While I agree with Damon, above, my original comment was specifically regarding being able to use the project symbols.
Once you browse to the directory and "save as" everything works as expected. -

Hello merle.corey.87,
I will make your great feature suggestion:
If I make a new clone of the current mockup, it should "remember" the default folder settings etc. so that I can use the project assets without an immediate browse to directory and save-as operation.
Damon,
Following your steps, I seem to be presented with the correct directory during a Save As operation. Sorry about that. Is this an intermittent problem or does it happen every time? Thank you for your help in tracking this down.- view 4 more comments

Damon, there must be something slightly different you are doing or I cannot reproduce because I'm using the latest prerelease version here http://balsamiq.com/products/mockups/...
If you can think of what you are doing differently--if anything--and let me know, I'm happy to retry. Thank you for your help. -

Probably should use Win7 and 2.0.14. I sent the offending project to you via e-mail (that was for a different issue). Have you tried that? It's important that you open the desktop "brand fresh new" (as listed above in my steps) and not have it open from previous work.

Hi all, please take a look if you have time to the new Prerelease version 999.879 which should provide a better behavior of Clone.

Please let us know if there are still problems.

This release appears to address my original concern. Thanks! This will make it even easier to set up storyboards...
